QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE IN FINLAND IN DECEMBER?
A: It's probably going to be cold, dark, and raining/snowing. Bring lots of warm clothes (layering is the second best way to stay warm... Dancing is No. 1).
Q: WHAT'S WITH ALL THE NAMES, WHY DO YOU SOMETIMES WRITE VAASA, AND OTHER TIMES VASA?
A: Finland is a bilingual country. Our capital is Helsinki in Finnish, and Helsingfors in Swedish. You'll be traveling to Vaasa in Finnish, or Vasa in Swedish.
Q: WHAT DO I DO IF I GET ILL OR IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY?
A: If there's some kind of emergency, grab the closest volunteer or get help from the venue reception desk. There are several health care centers and a hospital nearby. In case of fire, locate the closest exit and leave the building immediately. Do not go back inside, instead signal or call for help.
The emergency number is 112 (the call is free of charge and doesn't require any country code).
